The Karver KRS30 Reefing Furler Complete Kit is a manual reefing furler designed for sailboats from 33 to 43 feet (10.5 to 13 meters) with sails up to 55 m². Built for ease of installation and use, the KRS30 combines robust construction, a compact design, and an integrated set of features for dependable reefing performance.
The KRS30 accepts stays from 8 mm to 10 mm and comes complete with 14 meters of profiles, supplied as seven 2-meter sections, along with short plates and a Ø14 mm chainplate pin.

The KRS30 uses high-strength 6082T6 aluminum profiles designed for high torsion resistance. Reinforced profile junctions provide additional structural support, while the double-bearing swivel and maintenance-free drum are designed for reliable operation.
The black profiles feature hard anodizing for a thicker protective surface. Material insulation also helps protect the system against corrosion.
Easy Operation
The wide drum is designed to reduce the effort required for furling. Sail attachment can be made using the included soft shackle or a stainless steel shackle.
The compact drum and swivel help keep the system streamlined and lightweight. The design of each component allows flush deck installation, helping optimize available sail surfaces.
All-Option Configuration
The KRS30 is offered as a versatile single configuration rather than separate cruising and racing versions. Integrated features include elliptical profiles, a double groove, and a removable drum, providing a comprehensive reefing furler setup.

A low-friction ring still produces more friction than a bearing block. For applications involving a large amount of rope retrieval under high loads, a bearing block is recommended instead.
Friction rings are suitable for rope deviations of up to 25°. Depending on the application, open rings (KRO) or titanium rings (KRTi) may be more suitable.
