Digital Yacht AISnode NMEA 2000 Boat AIS Class B Receiver [ZDIGAISNODE]
Digital Yacht AISnode NMEA 2000 Boat AIS Class B Receiver [ZDIGAISNODE]
AISnode NMEA 2000 Boat AIS Class B Receiver
AISnode is the first AIS Receiver to be designed exclusively for NMEA 2000. With a single, integral 0.75m NMEA 2000 cable that takes power from the network and outputs the AIS data on to the network, the AISnode is incredibly easy to install. Just find or fit a spare NMEA 2000 "T Piece", screw the AISnode cable to the connection, connect a VHF antenna and the installation is complete.
Utilizing the same high performance, true dual channel receiver that our latest Class B Transponders have, AISnode will receive every AIS equipped vessel within VHF range and never miss or drop a single target. All of the latest NMEA 2000 AIS message types are supported, including AIS SARTs, AtoNs and Class B static data, ensuring full compatibility with all of the latest AIS enabled chart plotters.
NMEA 2000 is becoming more and more popular on new boats and nearly all new chart plotters have an NMEA 2000 interface, with one or two models only providing an NMEA 2000 interface. With its reliability, easy plug and play connectivity and industry standard compatibility, it is not surprising why NMEA 2000 is gradually replacing the older NMEA0183 standard.
The AIT2000 and AIT3000 Class B Transponders already provide NMEA 2000 connectivity but not all customers want the extra expense of purchasing and installing a transponder and for small chart plotters an AIS receiver is still a popular choice.

AIT6000 Class B+ AIS Transponder
Nucleus Class B + AIS Transponder with SPAIS satellite AIS compatibility, alerts & an integrated NMEA 2000 wifi Gateway.
The AIT6000 is Digital Yacht’s Class B+ AIS transponder, set to replace the AIT5000. It retains all the features that made the AIT5000 successful—an integrated and patented ZeroLoss VHF antenna splitter, 5W SOTDMA transmissions, and NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000, wireless, and USB interfaces—while introducing several major innovations:
SPAIS Satellite Tracking
The AIT6000 incorporates Digital Yacht’s latest SPAIS™ (space AIS) technology with AIS transmissions now enabled for reception by AIS satellites. This functionality can be easily enabled from the set up menu and will prioritise your AIS transmissions for satellite reception, ideal for offshore and ocean sailors.
Integrated NMEA 2000 Gateway
The AIT6000 has also been designed to become an onboard hub for navigation. It features NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 connectivity for modern navigation systems. It also has PC connectivity via USB and a wireless interface supporting up to 7 tablets or phones which can utilise the data for app integration.
AIT6000 adds a lot of interfacing capability through this WiFi interface with not just AIS and GPS data from the transponder being sent but also boat instrument data from the NMEA 2000 network thanks to its internal NMEA 2000 multiplexer – such as depth, heading, speed and wind information.
Built-In Collision & Anchor Alarms
The AIT6000 also has a built in interface accessible via any connected device for diagnostics, silence of AIS transmissions and also alerts for anchor drift and AIS closest point of approach (CPA) and time to CPA (TCPA).
These alarms can be monitored through the wireless interface with an attractive graphical display of current status or NMEA 2000 alerts can be sent over the NMEA 2000 network for pop up notifications or NavAlarm audible activations. This allows navigators to receive critical collision-avoidance warnings even when a chartplotter is not in use.
There is also a switched output on the AIT6000 power data cable which allows the alarm to attach to a sounder, relay or connect to a 3rd party system for alert activation.
Web Interface with Integrated Alarms
Installation is simple with an integrated and patented zero-loss VHF antenna splitter so the main VHF antenna is used for both AIS and VHF operation.

AIT2500 Class B+ 5W SOTDMA AIS with GPS
Digital Yacht have a range of Class B+ AIS transponders. Class B+, a standard, utilizes SOTDMA format transmissions which offer a 5W power output (2.5x more powerful than a regular Class B), a guaranteed time slot for transmission in busy traffic areas and faster update rates depending upon the speed of the vessel. It’s ideal for ocean sailors requiring the best possible performance and future proof satellite tracking applications, fast power boats and smaller non-mandated commercial vessels. It still inter-operates with existing Class B and Class A systems.
The AIT2500 is a full function SOTDMA AIS transponder with NMEA 0183, NMEA 2000 and USB data outputs. It is supplied with a GPS antenna and requires connection to a VHF antenna or suitable VHF-AIS antenna splitter.
The AIT2500 has the option of an AIS SART alarm which is great for use with personal AIS MOB devices.
Specifications:
- Class B+ 5W transponder with GPS/GLONASS positioning
- Multiple NMEA 0183 in/out and multiplex capability
- NMEA 2000 connectivity
- USB connectivity for PC/MAC
- Remote TX silence switch option
- Supplied with GPS antenna
- Options include VHF-AIS antenna splitter, wireless interface (WLN10SM) and AIS SART Alarm (AIS Lifeguard)
Note On SOTDMA Technology
Class B+ is a generation of AIS functionality based on SOTDMA (self organised TMDA) messaging rather than the simpler CSTDMA (carrier sense TDMA). It guarantees your AIS transmission will get a time slot, even in areas of very high traffic density. It also specifies a 5W transmission power (compared with 2W for Class B) and a transmission rate that increases as the vessel moves faster. With regular Class B protocol, the transmission rate is fixed at every 30 seconds when the vessel is moving. It is ideal for ocean sailors requiring the best possible performance and future proof satellite tracking applications, fast power boats and smaller non-mandated commercial vessels.

PLOMO-500 AIS Sart (Search & Rescue Transponder)
The Latest SART Technology
AMEC AIS SART (Search And Rescue Transmitter) PLOMO-500 complies with IEC 61097-14 specification. It is designed to be an alternative to Radar SART. PLOMO-500 can transmit GPS positions, Unique ID, COG, and SOG every minute once activated. It allows the rescue team to locate the survivors rapidly through the broadcasted AIS information and, ultimately, gives the survivors a better chance to survive.
User-Friendly Operation
AMEC PLOMO-500 is not only the AIS SART itself but also a complete survival/distress solution of all other essential accessories of AIS SART. The solution comes in a survival bag, and during emergency times, it is all what user needs to carry on his/her back. The setting operation is easy; it only requires 4 simple steps.
Backlit Panel and LED Indicator Integration
AMEC PLOMO-500 has a backlit operational panel, which allows users to see the buttons in a dusky environment. Moreover, the main unit has an overusage design to indicate if the battery life has been compromised due to excessive testing or it had been activated previously. Also, to increase the chance of survival, the unit’s LED indicator signals an “SOS” distress message during activation for the survivors to be easily spotted by the rescue team.
Features:
- Innovative AIS Technology
- Rugged and compact design
- Buoyant/floatable and waterproof to 10m
- Fluorescent backlight panel
- SOS LED light
- Easy to assemble and carry
- Minimum operating life - 96 hours
