Plashlight EV4-Series Waterproof RGBW Amplifier -5A/CH

Waterproof RGBW (RED, GREEN, BLUE, WHITE) Amplifier can be used with any of our RGB LED Controllers to extend the number of the RGB LED Light Strips or Bars connected to it. RGB Amplifiers are required if exceeding the maximum load capacity of the RGB controller.  Increases the load capability and extends the signal of the universal RGB controllers. 

To simplify, the RGBW controller (sold separately) is the brain.  It creates the program, function, and color and tells the lights what to do, but it can only control or operate so many lights.  That is where the amplifier comes in.  It takes that output from the controller and amplifies it so that you can run more lights. 

Example: Think of a long fishing pier with RGBW Strip Lights under the handrails.  The power supply and controller are on land and the lights extend out 100ft, but every 32ft the lights must be re-powered (amplified) to maintain the signal and not fade.  An amplifier would be required every 32ft.

 There are many options when it comes to wiring configuration such as do you want the LED ring to be on all the time, only when the navigation lights are on, or only when the switch is pressed?  Depending on how you wire the switch, and the orientation of the switch, you can decide which function suits you best.

WIRING:

This push button switch has two functions:

A) Illuminating the LED Ring

B) Controlling the Equipment that it is Connected to (such as a bilge pump or light bar).

A) LED Illuminated Ring on the Switch:

The below 4 wires connect to the RGB Controller --> **Sold Separately

• BLACK 18 AWG Wire = Positive V+ (connects to RGB controller)
• RED 18 AWG Wire = Ground (connects to RGB controller)
• BLUE 18 AWG Wire = Ground (connects to RGB controller)
• GREEN 18 AWG Wire = Ground (connects to RGB controller)

B) Control of your Load:

• RED 14 AWG Wire = Positive V+  IN from Fuse Panel (verify the fuse is correctly sized for your load)
• BROWN 14 AWG Wire = Positive V+ OUT to Load (example: connects to bilge pump)
