Raritan 12-Gallon Water Heater w/o Heat Exchanger - 240V [171202]
Ships Direct From Manufacturer
12-Gallon Water Heater without Heat Exchanger - 240V
A marine water heater is simply a small, insulated tank downstream of the pump. You must have a pressurized water system to operate a water heater. The pump draws water from the storage tank(s) and fills the water heater tank. Inside the water heater is an electrical heating element and usually a coiled tube called a heat exchanger. When AC power is available, the electrical element (controlled by a thermostat) heats the water. Away from the dock, the hot engine coolant is routed through the coiled tube to heat the water in the tank when the engine is running.
Water heaters have four threaded ports. The tank inlet connects via a tee connector to the outlet hose from the pump. A check valve is required in this line or in the heater to prevent hot water from migrating back toward the pump. The outlet connection supplies heated water to the hot side of all faucets, also using tee connectors. The other two ports are for the heat exchanger connection, which varies depending on engine installation. Use only metal fittings to plumb a water heater, never plastic. If a pressure-release valve isn’t integral, the heater will have a fifth port for this essential component.
Raritan’s 1700 Series Water Heaters are built for the long haul. A glass-lined steel tank and a rust-proof jacket keep the Raritan water heater looking great and lasting for many years. Research has shown that glass-lined steel tanks are more durable than tanks made from just stainless steel. To increase longevity and fluctuations in water quality, Raritan includes a sacrificial magnesium anode that ensures a long tank life.
Features:
- High-density non-CFC foam insulation helps the tank to maintain the hot water longer, a plus if you don’t want to run the generator for hot water
- The recovery rate is 13 gallons per hour
- Hot water at 160 degrees F when mixed with cold water can greatly extend the usable capacity of the tank
- Because the heater includes an adjustable thermostat it can be set as high as 160 degrees F
- All plumbing connections on one side (it retrofits without difficulty to most on-board pressure systems)
- Hot and cold-water fittings are standard 3/4 in. male NPT and the heat exchanger’s 3/4 in. female NPT
Specifications:
- Tank Size: 12-gallon
- Volts: 240
Benefits:
- Simple installation – retrofits to most on-board pressure systems
- Proven long-life design
- Withstands the rigors of the marine environment
- The glass-lined steel tank is more durable than stainless steel
- The attractive polymer jacket resists corrosion from dampness
- Ignition-protected, adjustable thermostat
- Round tanks are designed to withstand more pressure than square tanks
- Glass-lined steel tank for long life and high efficiency
- Environmentally friendly CFC-free foam insulation
- Replaceable magnesium anode to protect the tank and neutralize acids in the water
- The tank is covered by a five-year Limited Warranty
- Each unit is assembled by hand, individually tested, and backed by Raritan’s two-year Limited Warranty and legendary technical support team

Raritan Atlantes Freedom w/Vortex-Vac - Elongated - White - Remote Intake Pump - Smart Toilet Control - 24v [AVLWR02401]

Atlantes Freedom™
The Atlantes was one of the first toilets to incorporate the idea of having all components mounted within the bowl. The idea behind the Atlantes was to offer a metal handle on the side of the bowl to make the marine bathroom less intimidating for those not used to being on a boat. We offer the metal handle with many options but most people understand they simply need to push it to have the toilet flush. The head area of any boat can be very daunting for those not familiar with how the toilets work. By offering a handle on the side of the bowl your guests will feel more at ease. The other, and probably equally important, feature of the original Atlantes was to appeal to the women on the boat. The Atlantes is far more aesthetically appealing than tons of nooks and crannies which ultimately means the toilet looks much cleaner. Users in any bathroom can appreciate the smooth minimal lines to make cleaning a quick and easy chore.
Today the Atlantes now incorporates the same Vortex-Vac technology as the Marine Elegance but in a bowl that offers a more substantial footprint as well as the just like home handle option. The advantage of the Vortex-Vac technology is that the waste is efficiently moved from the bowl by a vacuum action created by the pump rather than depending on remote vacuum generation. While a vacuum toilet may use slightly less water, the advantage of Vortex-Vac is that one does not need to depend on the vacuum generator pump that tends to run for about 45 seconds to generate the vacuum. The timed flush cycle brings water in then runs a discharge then water again and discharge for the least amount of water usage and effectiveness of moving waste out of the toilet.
Standard Features:
- One piece china bowl
- Anti-clog "power shred" discharge system
- Elongated style
- Stainless handle with smart toilet control
- Remote intake pump
- Powerful bronze cutting blades designed to "shred" most objects

The Raritan Smart Toilet Control Offers:
The Raritan Smart Toilet Control is a fully programmable flush control. The control allows users to flush the toilet with no water, a small amount of water or a fully timed flush. the timed flush feature can be adjusted on the panel without having to remove any components.
- Normal Flush - starts a timed flush, walk away and the toilet will run through a sequence of intake and discharge modes ensuring maximum bowl rinse, bowl re-fills to leave water in the bow
- Water Saver - starts a timed flush using half of the water of a normal flush. Bowl refills to leave water in the bowl.
- Water Only - adds additional water to the bowl without discharging any of the contents of the bowl. Allows the user to wet the bowl prior to use or fill the bowl to a certain level to minimize water usage.
- Empty Only - allows the user to evacuate the bowl while using no water. While the button is pressed the discharge pump will run, when released the pump stops.
