Mass Combi Ultra 24V/3500W - 100A - 230V

The Mass Combi Ultra series comprises several models, varying from 3000 W to 3500 W. For higher capacities up to 35 kW the Combi Ultra can be used in parallel or 3-phase configurations. An efficient and integrated solar charge regulator helps make the most of your solar panels.

The Mass Combi Ultra is equipped with the latest technologies. The new inverter technology ensures a uniquely low stand-by use, while an ultra-fast Digital Signal Processor guarantees seamless switching between all available energy sources. Power Assist prevents power dips and failures, even with a weak electricity connection or small generator. Moreover, all Mass Combi Ultra models are equipped with MasterBus.

Higher yield from solar energy 

At Mastervolt we used our knowledge gained in the grid connected solar sector to make a super-efficient built-in MPPT solar charge regulator. Compared to most solar charge regulators on the market, the MPPT offers up to 30 % more yield from solar panels. The solar panels power ‘hidden’ consumers and keep your batteries in optimal condition.

‘Pro’ Models

For professional applications. Mastervolt offers a ‘Pro’ model, featuring all Ultra functions, but without the solar input and secondary battery charger.

Quiet operation

The Mass Combi Ultra and Mass Combi Pro can provide up to 50 % of the charging current or inverter capacity without fan cooling. This is perfect for night-time operation; if little power is consumed, the fan stops turning and goes silent. When maximum capacity is required, or the ambient temperature is very high, the Active Optima Cooling concept regulates the fan speed in a linear way, ensuring that it never spins too fast or makes any unnecessary ticking noises.

Parallel and 3-phase operation

The Mass Combi Ultra functionality goes beyond stand-alone operation, the design also allows parallel and 3-phase configurations for larger applications up to 35 kW. For larger systems, an external transfer system is required.

Dual AC inputs and outputs

The Mass Combi Ultra and Mass Combi Pro have inputs for generator or mains supply, each optimized for the power source. A robust intelligent transfer system switches seamlessly between AC power, generator and inverter, and ensures a constant power supply. Flickering lights or failure of electronic equipment belong to the past. Separate AC outputs provide the ability to power heavy users via mains and/or generator.

The EVO-2224 is a 2200 Watt Pure Sine inverter, 24 VDC input, 120 VAC output, 50/60 Hz. It intelligently integrates a 70 Amp 4 stage Battery Charger and a 40 Amp Transfer Relay into an advanced and affordable off-grid power solution

AC Inputs

• Two separate AC inputs – one for grid (priority #1), one for generator (priority #2), connect simultaneously, no need to reconfigure when different power sources are available
• Generator Input is specifically designed to have more tolerance for wave form distortion, prevents unnecessary “rejection of AC input and switch to inverter” by tolerating distorted wave forms that can be produced by gritty generators
• Each AC input is programmable for voltage and frequency. User determines what the min and max thresholds are to switch from Grid or Generator to Inverter
• Generator start can be initiated by “Status Relay” contact, can be programmed to activate when grid is lost

Battery Charger

• 3 or 4 stage charging with Equalization (must be manually initiated)

• Generator Input is specifically designed to have more tolerance for wave form distortion, prevents unnecessary “rejection of AC input and switch to inverter” by tolerating distorted wave forms that can be produced by gritty generators
• Each AC input is programmable for voltage and frequency. User determines what the min and max thresholds are to switch from Grid or Generator to Inverter
• Generator start can be initiated by “Status Relay” contact, can be programmed to activate when grid is lost

Solar Input

• Connect a solar charge controller directly to the EVO™ though the Battery Charger external DC Input, seamlessly integrates solar charging into the EVO’s power system
• ONLINE Mode can be used to prioritize Batteries/Inverter over the grid, ideal for those wishing to operate primarily on solar power (when the grid is available, but might be costly)

Battery Charger

• 3 or 4 stage charging with Equalization (must be manually initiated)
• Adaptive algorithm is used during Bulk to assess the condition of the battery. Subsequent stages are then based on the condition of the battery rather than pre-set time periods for Absorption and Float. Prevents unnecessary charging, extends the life of batteries
• Programmable – set battery voltage thresholds to initiate charging

Transfer Switch

• Zero transfer time when switching from Inverter to Grid. When grid comes on, the inverter synchronizes with the wave form and then transfers instantly at zero crossing
• ‹16ms transfer when going from Grid to Inverter. When grid is lost, the transfer relay switches to inverter at the correct place in the wave form, the transfer takes less than 16ms
